A room,
not a podium.
M GRACE COUNSELING, LLC is an individual and family social services agency at 908 Turgotine Ln, Wilmington, North Carolina. We don't do lectures or forms-first intake — we do circles.
Three rules
we keep.
Every program at M Grace Counseling runs on the same three rules. They're short enough to fit on a card and hard enough to hold us accountable.
- Rule one — the chair decides. The person in the seat sets the goal. We provide structure, options, and honest counsel; the direction is theirs.
- Rule two — the circle holds. What's shared in a group stays in the group. Confidentiality is the entry ticket, enforced for everyone.
- Rule three — no wrong door. If the right help isn't ours, referral services find it. A wrong fit doesn't mean a closed door.
What we actually
do, and don't.
Our charter is broad: adoption and foster care, child guidance and welfare, youth programs, elder and disability services, addiction counseling and self-help, crisis lines, family mediation, parole and probation support, and community referral — fifty-six services in four circles.
We are equally clear about what we are not. M Grace Counseling provides social-service counseling — not psychiatry, psychoanalysis, or psychotherapy. Non-medical home care, not medical care. Support groups, not clinical treatment.
When a need crosses into clinical territory — medication, psychiatric care, medical treatment — we say so and refer out. The referral is part of the service, not a handoff.
Asked at
the door.
No. Walk-ins are welcome at 908 Turgotine Ln, and you can also reach out by email or phone first. Intake is a conversation, not a stack of forms — we figure out together which circle fits.
No. Our counseling is social-service counseling — support, structure, and skill-building — delivered outside mental-health practitioner offices. Our elder care services are non-medical. If your situation calls for clinical care, we'll tell you directly and help you find it.
Call us at +1 (667) 430-4728 — our hotline services are part of the charter. In a life-threatening emergency, call 911. For the national Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, call or text 988.
Yes — confidentiality is the entry ticket to every circle. What's shared in the group stays in the group, within the limits of law and immediate safety. That rule applies to staff and members alike.
